I'd like to first say loud and clear this is not an anti vaccine protest.
This has been organized by parents (who are vaccinated and some unvaccinated) who are advocating for their children (some vaccinated some not) to end the school mandates immediately.
For two full years children and adolescents have suffered greatly during this pandemic mostly at the hand of public health officials enforcing unwarranted mandates on our children.
We are requesting an immediate stop to mask wearing, daily screening, required isolation and classroom closures due to a positive case. Continue with normal education practices pre pandemic (no cohorts for example) Also including field trips, school concerts and events, etc.
We are gathering at the offices of public health to make the message loud and clear from parents with children from both boards that we have had enough!
End the mandates immediately is our message.
This is a friendly gathering. Signs, letters, whatever you think will make the message noticed is encouraged!
